Larson’s Children’s Center was established in 1966. Larson’s provides an opportunity for children to grow and develop in an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance. Larson's believes a child’s experience in the early formative years develops and molds their future.

Larson’s child management techniques are designed to promote individual responsibility and Larson’s programs are developed to nurture and meet each child’s individual needs. Larson’s teachers are chosen as positive role models who strive to assist in the building of each child’s self-esteem by using positive language and by having one-on-one communication with the child. In the Pre-K Program, Larson’s uses the Zoo-phonics® system in teaching literacy and in preparation for the local public schools. Larson’s uses monthly themes to make the learning experience fun and diverse and incorporates the themes with the Zoo-phonics® program.

About Larson’s Staff
Larson’s believes that a child’s teacher is most important to each child’s success. Larson’s staff creates a safe, secure and nurturing environment. The staff encourages creativity and helps enhance a child’s self-esteem. Larson’s strives to find teachers who have a high degree of competency in early childhood education. Many of our Teachers hold Bachelors degrees and State Teaching Credentials. Larson’s carefully selects and evaluates prospective staff members who undergo background checks and must also meet certain state-mandated criteria. Larson’s continually monitors and evaluates the staff and offers ongoing training opportunities and resources. Key staff members are trained in the Zoo-phonics® curriculum and offer resource and training for all the Larson teachers on a continuing basis. Monthly staff meetings also offer additional training in areas of need and interest for all the Teachers.
